To place a market trade in MT5:
Open the Market Watch window
Right click on a symbol and select New Order
Choose your execution type
Enter the desired lot size
Set optional Stop Loss and Take Profit levels
Click Buy or Sell
Your trade will be placed and appear in the Positions tab.
