News Trading

Understand when and how you can trade around macroeconomic events.

Updated this week

News trading is strictly regulated on TX3 Funding Forex accounts to ensure fair and consistent trading practices. It is only permitted with the News Trading Add-on during the funded stage across all challenge types. Restrictions apply around red folder macroeconomic events, tentative events, and all-day events.

What Is a Restricted News Event?

You are not allowed to execute, modify, or close trades in the following cases:

  • Within 5 minutes before and after a red folder macroeconomic event.

  • During all-day events, unless you have the News Trading Add-on.

  • On tentative events, where start times may change but are enforced based on official schedules.

Timing Example

If a red folder event is scheduled for 8:30 AM, trading is restricted from 8:25 AM to 8:35 AM without the News Trading Add-on.

All-Day Events

Trading is restricted during all-day red folder events such as:

  • Government speeches

  • Full-day macroeconomic summits

Violations during these windows may result in revocation of profits and warnings.

Tentative Events

Tentative events are scheduled with flexible start times. Even if a time is not updated, violations are applied based on the officially published time from sources such as:

  • Forex Factory

  • FX Street

To avoid issues, traders are advised to use the News Trading Add-on.
